Who is responsible for data collection?
The data collected on this website are processed by the website operator. Contact details can be found in the section “Information about the controller”.
How do we collect your data?
We collect personal data when you provide it to us – for example when you contact us by email (email address, message content and any additional information you provide). This website does not use a contact form.
Other data are collected automatically when you visit the website. These data are primarily technical data (e.g. browser, operating system, time of access). They are collected automatically as soon as you enter this website.
What do we use your data for?
Part of the data is collected to ensure the proper functioning and security of the website (e.g. server log files). We do not use analytics or tracking tools on this website.
What rights do you have?
You have the right to request information about your stored data, to rectification or deletion, to restriction of processing, to object to processing, and to withdraw consent at any time. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the competent supervisory authority.
2. Hosting
We host the contents of this website with the following provider:

When you visit our website, Strato collects various log files including your IP address.
Strato is used on the basis of Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR (legitimate interest in reliable operation). A data processing agreement (DPA/AVV) has been concluded with Strato.
Hosting takes place within the EU.
3. General information and mandatory information
Data protection
The operators of this website take the protection of your personal data very seriously. We treat your personal data as confidential and in accordance with statutory data protection regulations and this privacy policy.
Please note that data transmitted via the internet (e.g. via email communication) may be subject to security breaches. Complete protection of your data from third-party access is not possible.

The controller responsible for data processing on this website is:
Sebastian Mikolai
Dr.-Theodor-Neubauer-Str. 2a

The controller is the natural or legal person who alone or jointly decides on the purposes and means of processing personal data.
Storage duration
Unless a more specific storage period has been stated in this privacy policy, your personal data will remain with us until the purpose for data processing no longer applies. If you assert a legitimate request for deletion or revoke consent, your data will be deleted unless statutory retention obligations prevent deletion.
Legal bases for processing
If you have given consent, we process your data on the basis of Art. 6 (1) (a) GDPR. If processing is necessary for the performance of a contract or pre-contractual measures, we process your data on the basis of Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR. If processing is necessary to comply with a legal obligation, we process your data on the basis of Art. 6 (1) (c) GDPR. Processing may also be based on our legitimate interest under Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR.
Recipients of personal data
We work with external service providers. Personal data are only shared when necessary for contract performance, due to legal obligations, based on legitimate interests, or on another legal basis. When using processors, data are shared only on the basis of a valid DPA.
Withdrawal of consent
Many processing operations are only possible with your express consent. You can revoke consent at any time. The legality of processing carried out before the revocation remains unaffected.
Right to object (Art. 21 GDPR)
If processing is based on Art. 6 (1) (e) or (f) GDPR, you have the right to object at any time on grounds relating to your particular situation. If you object, we will no longer process your personal data unless we can demonstrate compelling legitimate grounds that override your interests.
Right to lodge a complaint
In the event of violations of the GDPR, data subjects have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. A list of supervisory authorities can be found at the Federal Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information: BfDI.
Right to data portability
You have the right to receive data that we process based on your consent or in fulfillment of a contract in a commonly used, machine-readable format, and to have it transmitted to another controller, where technically feasible.
Information, rectification, deletion
You have the right to obtain information free of charge about your stored personal data, its origin and recipients and the purpose of processing, as well as the right to rectification or deletion of this data.
Right to restriction of processing
You have the right to request restriction of processing of your personal data. This applies, for example, if you contest the accuracy of your data, if processing is unlawful, or if we no longer need the data but you need it to assert legal claims.
4. Data collection on this website
Server log files
The website provider automatically collects and stores information that your browser automatically transmits to us in “server log files”. These are:
- Browser type and browser version
- Operating system used
- Referrer URL
- Host name of the accessing computer
- Time of the server request
- IP address
These data will not be combined with data from other sources.
The basis for data processing is Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR. The website operator has a legitimate interest in the technically error-free presentation and optimization of the website.
The exact retention period for server log files depends on the hosting provider’s configuration and is currently unknown. If necessary, this information can be requested from the hosting provider.
Cookies
This website itself does not set cookies for analytics or marketing purposes. Depending on the hosting provider configuration or security mechanisms, technically necessary cookies may be set. The legal basis is Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR (legitimate interest in secure and error-free operation).
You can configure your browser to inform you about the use of cookies and decide on a case-by-case basis whether to accept or reject cookies, or to block cookies in general. Disabling technically necessary cookies may limit the functionality of this website.
External links
This website contains links to external providers (e.g. social media profiles or the App Store). When you click such a link, you leave our website. From that point on, the privacy policies of the respective provider apply. In this process, your IP address and the previously visited page (referrer) may be transmitted to the provider.
Requests by email or phone
If you contact us by email or phone, your request including any resulting personal data (e.g. name, request) will be stored and processed for the purpose of handling your inquiry. We do not pass on this data without your consent.
Processing is based on Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR (legitimate interest in effective handling) or Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR if your inquiry relates to the performance of a contract or pre-contractual measures.
5. Privacy and my apps
My apps do not collect and store sensitive data and do not use third-party analysis tools. For apps with microphone usage, a fraction of a second is evaluated in a loop directly on the device and then immediately removed from the memory. The only connection to the Internet is established when you open the links for Facebook, X (formerly Twitter), YouTube and bunte-noten.de on the help pages, and these are opened in the browser and not within the app.
